Help Support Retro Remakes
We’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has helped out to date. Sadly, I don’t always have the time to reply personally to everyone (oh, the joys of being a househusband, carer and website runner) but rest assured every contribution no matter how slight is greatly appreciated and all goes into helping keep RR online and healthy.
Retro Remakes is currently funded by the admin team with the kind assistance of a number of forum members, both in regular forum subscriptions or via donations. Their assistance is, of course, greatly appreciated and helps to keep Retro Remakes online.
RR has long been a bastion of independence in the face of the many sites being absorbed into other networks, and this is something that the current admin team wish to continue as long as they’re sitting at the reigns of the site.
If you wish to help out or say a very special thanks for our work, then there are a number of ways you can help us keep Retro Remakes online and independent.
Remake Authors or Casual Browsers
If you’re a remake author, the easiest way you can help out is to add your games to our showcase and help us provide a central repositry for the general public to find your work. We’re not after your traffic, we’re after helping people find you and your work - which is why we provide the option of supplying a direct link to your website and/or a direct download link.
If you know of a remake that’s not currently in our showcase, then you’re free to add it yourself as long as you can provide a couple of screenshots and a web link in order to keep things neat and tidy.
As long as you’re a member of our forum you can add freeware remakes to our showcase.
Adding to the showcase helps us grow, helps get the word out about the great work that people do and helps the public find the work. It’s win, win, win for everyone.
Donations
We’re incredibly grateful for any financial assistance no matter how small. It all helps offset our £100+ a month bill and keep us online.
If you wish to make a donation, you can do so safely and securely via Paypal or if you’re a forum member via your UserCP. If you want to make a donation and you’re not comfortable with Paypal, feel free to drop me a line at oddbob HAT merseyremakes.co.uk (removing the headware and replacing it with an @) or via PM in the forums.
Forum Subscriptions
As well as general donations, upon request we set up a “forum supporters” scheme for regular users of the forum. For a small regular donation you get a set of perks including increased mailbox, increased file storage etc…As with the donations feature, details can be found in the forum UserCP
