Phantomas Saga 0: Uprising

Once upon a time the budget “pocket money” sized game ruled the world. This was back when £5.50 was considered a usual price point for games, way before you could be expected to spend forty or fifty of your Earth pounds for a single game. In fact a lot of Spectrum and C64 owners probably spend less than that in a year on games.

Phantomas was one of the first releases from Code Masters who had appreared to cash in on the popularity of Mastertronic and Firebird which were reeling in a lot of kids’ pennies, including my own. Now here we have a remake/prequel and it won’t even cost you a couple of quid you can have it for the even more fantastic price of bugger all thanks to CEZ Games Studio.

Limey Lizard - Waste Wizard

In the world of the adventure game, the humble reptile is not often dealt a fair hand. Who can forget the bizarre deaths of the iguana tribe in ‘Coby Crustation and the Smell of Elephants’ or the nasty pokes of fun at the idiotic sidekick Calmer Chamelion in the popular ‘Bling Bling goes to Hell’ games, not to mention the way that K Rool is always thwarted in the ‘Donkey Kong’ franchise (you’re making that one up, aren’t you? - Ed).

Guru Logic Champs

It takes a very special kinda guy to remake a push-block puzzler to the point of near completion and then just, well, forget about it. A very special man indeed.
