Cartouche
Ah, Match-3 games. A friend to the casual gamer and a boon to the shareware house with little talent and fewer ideas. And lo, here’s another one, called Cartouche and brought to us by The Codex. Unlike your usual Match-3 tat, this one is at least free, and comes with the claim that it offers something new with its dual-matching system.

Matchmaker, matchmaker, make me a match…
Go crazy matching hieroglyphs on color OR symbol while grooving out to the Middle Eastern influenced tunage ofInfamous. You can get the game from the Dream Codex Retrogames site here.
And for those who saw this article earlier, you’re not hallucinating. It was posted before but I’m moving it up because there has been an updated release that much improves the mouse response. Anyone who grabbed this first time around should get a fresh download.
Minesweeper Online
Minesweeper Online has, according to DestroY recently been given a bit of an update. So, if you’re inclined towards some competitive minesweeping action then I guess you should be checking this out.
It’s a lump of purest green!

Interested? Head on over to the homepage for the game, and feel free to drop any feedback about the game onto our forum.
G-Force
No, sorry - its still not finished I’m afraid. Running this place and keeping on top of home stuff is taking up all my spare time and energy at the moment. However, having been recently asked very nicely by forumite Carnacki to drop a fresh beta version, it would have been rude of me not to.
A screen that isn’t actually in the beta. How contrary.
Anyway, the file has been lurking about the RR forums for a fair while now, and I believe Tim has already done the business in posting it over on Indygamer, so I may as well throw it up here for the RR’ers to enjoy (if thats the right word).
Out Of Chaos
More Chaos ensues in Retro Remakes Land, as Zibbo Florenanzo nips into our forum to declare the imminent arrival of Out Of Chaos. Nearly 9 years in the making, they’ve recently decided to revive the project and finish it off.
That wizard gets everywhere…
Man, its looking quite alright so far. If you’d like to check the progress for yourself why not have a gander over to our forums or to the project homepage.
Joe Snow
Its snow joke that Acoder Jonnathan is wrapping himself up warm in the comfy blanket of BlitzMaxness to help bring the DOS game “Joe Snow” to a new generation of fans.
Over to Jonnathan for the news:
My current project is remaking a not famous, but fun DOS game called “Joe Snow.” In “Joe Snow,” you play as a living snowball to solve the maze of riches and fire.
This not may be the popular game at it’s time, but when I got the game at the store in 1995, I had some good time fun with it. Since the game is slowly dying and may become extinct, I wanted to make an attempt to remake the game.
Fine reasons if you ask me. Not that you did.
Wow, look at all that money…and all that hot burney stuff :s
You can have a gander over to our forums or to Jonnathans ACoders project page for more information as it breaks.
IO
It’s been up and on our forum for a few days now, but because I’m a busy, busy man I’ve not managed to find the energy to post news until new - so here it is.
Smila’s take on the Commodore64 Firebird “classic” shooter rises up, up and away complete with Terminator styled end of level boss thingy.
Oi Noggin! Heeeead! Are you a bitcher? We are a piper dooon. Etc…
If you’re fancying yourself some shooting action, then head on over to the IO page of gunsablazingdeath and enjoy yourself. 4 levels of boom a bang a bang action awaits those brave enough.
