The Look Around You Mini Comp
Its a computer…for girls… ok? Anyway, enough of the Petticoat 5 methinketh. Time for a new mini-competition.
We’ve gratuitously stolen a load of titles from the corking TV show Look Around You and for this challenge, we’d like to see what you can come up with game wise. Obviously, its crucial that its in the style of an early 8 bit computer to keep it authentic, which computer you choose is entirely up to you.

Technoballz PSP
Thanks to Icemann for the heads up on this little fella, its a remake of the Amiga Breakout-esque block-buster (hey, I could work at Reflexive with this kind of spiel) for Sony’s increasingly tempting PSP platform. Its called Technoballz, because its got techno things in it and balls. Who’da thunk it, huh?
So, if you’re looking for something new and fresh to do with your hands, head on over to here and grab the game.

Auld Games
Scottigesoft is dead, nada, no more. Its climbed the curtain rail and joined the choir invisible. In its place, standing tall and proud like Ron Jeremy on Viagra is Auld Games.
Its the new home for all things Scottige and only faintly smells of beer and pee on the carpet as its only been in existence a week or so. So, if you’ll allow him time to scatter his crisp packets about the place and get the rest of those games screenshotted and in place, you’ll be able to find his copious collection of remakes over that thar way in no time.
There’s also a couple of brief Q&A thingymajigs with other remakers for extra bonus specialness.
Phantomas 3
Familiar to those on the Speccy scene is the erstwhile na_th_an and his excellent Phantomas tribute games for the rubber keyed wonder. If anyone wore the qualifications on his sleeve to attempt to breathe new life into the pudgy Spanish character in the age of home PC’s it’d be Mr Phantomas expert himself. So, with that said - we bring news of Phantomas 3 for the PC.

SIM
Honestly, I promised myself I wouldn’t make any jokes about what that pink thing reminds me of… after all, whilst we’re a reasonably mature site (fnarr) I wouldn’t like to sink that low on the front page…
Anyway, enough about my inability to not associate anything with erotica and on with the show. SIM is a remake of the BBC B (yeah, I know, we don’t get many of those round these here parts so treasure them when they do turn up) game of the same name. Its the gentlemans first attempt at a proper 2D remake and already leagues ahead of the first one I attempted. But then, not everyones a spoon like me.
I’ve got a postmortem to put up later so there’ll be a little further reading for your pleasure tonight. In the meantime, enjoy SIM.
Car Park
OK! I honestly don’t have the foggiest so don’t look at me here. Its called Car Park. Its something to do with Smila and in bizarrely cryptic fashion, its on our forum here.
