Its that time again…
Yes, ladies and gentlemen - if you’d like to form an orderly queue to complain at the back then feel free, but no pushing please.
Yes, it can only be time for the latest Arsecast. Under the spotlight this month is the Jet Set Willy Online project, Wiebo’s Thrust Extreme and my own G-Force… so here’s hoping for a right royal slagging off from The Arsecast Host or I’ll be bitterly disappointed.
There’s some other stuff in there too, but I only care about the remakes.
Off you trot now.
Disorder In The House
My lawyer instructed me to make this post, so here it is. Well, either that or I’m bored and have a million things I fancy putting off right now so have some news whilst I idle about.
Target 2006 is a remake of everybodys favourite beat-em-up (yes, even yours) Target Renegade. So, if you’re in the mood for some chunkified nad kicking action and don’t fancy the 21 pints of Special Brew normally required to get in the mood, then head on over and give it some virtual welly.
He wears a disguise to fool human eyes (will I ever quit with this joke?), its ChickenStu taunting and teasing your soul with a game “heavily inspired by Chaos”, Chaos the game that is, as opposed to “running into your next door neighbours garden clattering some tin cans at their pet rabbit” style chaos. Its called Disorder (see what he did there?) and its ready for your wizardy charms right this second.
Right, I’m off for a cup of tea and a packet of crisps. Enjoy yourself, and be safe out there.
Compo Madness!
Surprise! Didn’t expect to see me did you? I’m taking a little break from the horrific review process just so I can bring a slice or two of remaking goodness to your web-browser of choice.
No decent remakes of Sentinel for years (since Sentry) and then two come along within a couple of months. Previously I posted about Zenith, and now we have another one from one of our wonderful forum regulars, Endurion AKA Georg Rottensteiner. He has chosen not to pick a strange new name for his version of the game, and left the title as it was intended. Sentinel is available for download right now! Go grab it and go up in the world.
If you are going to play and enjoy the next game on the table it’s going to depend on a couple of things, I’m afraid. This is a remake for the Nintendo DS, so you will need one obviously, as well as being able to run homebrew on it. I’m not going to waffle on about how this is done, if you want to know you can find the information easily enough.
Ok then, here we go. Those unfamiliar with the original Tetris Attack will probably be thinking “Oh please Lord, no! Not another remake of Tetris!” Calm down dears, it’s not that game, it’s something different and wonderful. It’s a match three game. ;)
