Defender Rocks!
If Defender is your cup of tea then check out this fantastic up and coming demo of Alien Abduction. Created by Pumpkin Games, I suggest checking out the website for development notes and more.. Definately one to keep an eye on, and I’m not normally a big fan of Defender but this just oozes polish! :)
I used to like playing this on the Speccy, Solomons Key is a great remake of a fantastic little puzzler, written by Zonker. Kindly hosted by our very own OddBob :)
Heres a remake of Missile Command called SaturnMD : Saturn missile defender by the Reeteam. Site is in French but the game is in English/French. Pretty enjoyable remake, although the intro to the game features some heavy strobing which made I dribble :S
Hugs and Kisses to OddBob for the news :)
Tracker List
Ok, i decided that many sites deserve a mention after looking through The Codex Entry Tracker. Heres all the links to competition entries which do actually show some development or offer some news… should keep you busy for a while ;-)

Pointy Clicky
Are you a fan of the Leisure Suit Larry adventures, or even the tales of Sam and Max, then you may well be interested in the Point and Click Adventure Creator by Zimond.
You can use it to create your own point and click adventure, with full graphic editing and game scripting facilities, you can even make games within games. Check it out.
Retro Gamer - Issue 7
Retro Gamer Issue 7 has hit the High Street, with articles on the recent CGE exhibition, and the bizarre showing by Matthew Smith. It also includes interviews with Level 9, the history of the Atari ST, a series on Speccy game endings and a piece on that magic box the Multiface.
One of the more interesting articles I think will be on retro game creators such as The Quill, STOS, AMOS and the classic SEUCK.

splashing fun baby!
Please remember, the splashscreens were updated 13:30 today (23rd August 2004). If you haven’t got the latest versions please download them.
Also, as a sidenote. Remember remakes must be 10 megabytes max, this does not mean 10 megs and a little bit. A kilobyte over will be rejected by the upload system which is being implemented :)
IMPORTANT
If you have registered as an entrant in the Retro Remakes Competition 2004 during the last 7 days then you will need to register again. It appears I may have screwed the script up when updating the new sponsors and prizes.
Please accept my apologies, and re-register on the form which is now working fully. You should receive an email back from us confirming your entry - if not please email us.
