The archive page update has been aborted. I was in the process of updating the ratings system to show the ratings on the page itself, this in itself has created numerous problems which I am not going to go into at any length. The old archive pages will be back online either this evening or early tomorrow morning and I’ll add new software tomorrow…

A one Mr John Dow notable for his excellent and not even remotely crap contributions to the remake world such as Cookie PC, Gridrunner, Pssst PC, and many others has decided to throw his slightly soiled hat into the ring and is open to suggestions from you the general public on what Spectrum game he should remake next! His next remake (voted for by you) will also be a freeware release! I’ll keep the next bit simple… Register (if you aren’t already) at the forums and then go to this thread and make a suggestion on what you’d like remade. So go on then…

More new additions to the archive… New Remakes: Polar Wars, a classy looking remake of Worms… runs like a tortoise in a coma on my 300 though :o/ Desktop PacMan, a small but not very good Puckman remake… VB Pong Classic, there are more remakes of Pong than there are celibate Priests ;o) South Park Space Invaders, a fun but ultimately superficial version of the classic arcade game Tetris 2000, another remake of the over-remaked puzzler… Breakout-3D, this has to be played to be believed… awesome Updates: Steve Watson’s Manic Miner 2000 gets a release… Site Information: The remake archive pages are undergoing a major overhaul and you can imagine it will take some time considering the amount of software that is available *but* because I’m such a great guy all downloads will still be available whilst the update takes place. The alphabetical listings are staying as they are and they will be online as normal so you can download the remakes at your leisure…. just don’t click the links to the right of the remakes or you’ll get a 404! You have been warned… Off topic: Sick of emulators? If you are - I know I am - then check out this site which has *hundreds* of original ZX Spectrum games converted to PC executable format! Gaming heaven =o) These games are ideal for copying onto a self booting floppy disk and taking to work and will work great on old 486’s!. You didn’t hear it here :::cough::: =o) [UPDATE] As soon as I downloaded the games the site disappeared! If you know where it’s disappeared to mail me or Hitman at the usual address… he he// I found it JJ and have updated the link to work again.
